Senior Analyst – American Airlines – Austin, USA Salary: $20–30 per hour Overview Senior Analysts are responsible for analyzing traveler demand and price sensitivity in a defined region to drive revenue growth for American Airlines. They collaborate with cross‑functional teams and leverage quantitative tools to shape and execute revenue strategies. Key Responsibilities Utilize complex models and tools to screen traveler demand and price changes. Develop an internal and external understanding of the business center and promote yield and analysis processes. Oversee and increase revenue by creating and executing cross‑departmental strategies through quantitative analysis of real traveler demand, the price environment, and buyer purchase behavior. Build relationships with other departments to enhance the value of revenue initiatives. Work with pricing experts focused on price testing to determine optimal price setting across the organization and develop new assortment items to profit from changes in buyer purchasing propensities. Present unique analysis and methods to senior leadership, plan departmental business processes, dissect the impacts of charge and inventory changes on market execution, and work on special projects linked to the airline’s core objectives. Prompt a deep understanding of the airline’s financial drivers that influence carrier business and position the analyst for future opportunities within revenue and other business areas. Qualifications Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field; 2+ years of relevant professional experience. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with yield management or business analytics, familiarity with pricing/yield systems, strong analytical and quantitative skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Knowledge of programming tools used for quantitative analysis (Prophet, SAS, etc.) is a plus. Strong data‑analysis abilities, good communication skills, ability to make independent decisions, and work effectively in a team. Willingness to pursue advanced analytical challenges.
