About the Position

Job Title: Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer Profession: Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer Specialty: Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 8.5 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RDMS and RVT registries required, Level II OB experience preferred Certifications: BLS, ARDMS (Abd or OB), preferred Vascular RVT registry Must-Have: OB experience Ability to scan general ultrasound with vascular procedures Description: Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer will perform various ultrasound examinations including abdominal, pelvic, and vascular studies. The candidate must be proficient in OB/GYN ultrasounds and small parts imaging such as breast ultrasounds. The role requires adherence to exam protocols and procedures as established by the radiology team. The technician should expect to maintain a patient ratio that allows for exams to be completed within 30-45 minutes. Flexibility to work weekends and on-call shifts is required, with one night of call each week and one weekend of call each month. The work environment includes a critical access facility equipped with GE Logic E10 ultrasound machines and Trophons. Collaboration with a small team of full-time and part-time technologists is essential. Candidates demonstrating strong teamwork and the ability to write reports effectively will be prioritized. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic and a professional demeanor, contributing positively to the work environment. Technical proficiency with EMR systems and familiarity with PACS is desired.
