Description

Our client, the U.S.'s largest commercial real estate services firm, has an exciting opportunity for a Facilities Specialist to support facility operations across two locations in Enfield and Shelton, CT . This contract-to-hire role will serve as a key point of contact for clients, vendors, contractors, and internal teams, helping ensure maintenance activities, work orders, and day-to-day facility needs are handled efficiently and professionally.

This is a great opportunity for a self-motivated facilities or workplace services professional who is comfortable working independently, managing multiple priorities, and taking ownership of issues from initial request through resolution. Schedule is Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-2:00 PM

What You'll Do

• Serve as a primary point of contact for facility operations across multiple locations.
• Partner with clients, vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure consistent and seamless service delivery.
• Coordinate vendor and contractor activities and help ensure work is completed accurately, efficiently, and within established timelines.
• Monitor work orders from initiation through completion and follow up to ensure timely resolution.
• Proactively identify issues or potential delays and work with the appropriate parties to resolve them.
• Provide regular updates to clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders regarding ongoing work and facility needs.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through responsive communication and dependable operational support.
• Coordinate day-to-day facilities activities, including maintenance requests and site-related concerns.
• Help ensure assigned locations remain safe, functional, and well maintained.
• Independently prioritize competing tasks and determine appropriate next steps.
• Take ownership of facility-related issues and follow through until resolution.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to facility activities and work orders.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with a variety of stakeholders.
• Perform additional facilities and operational support duties as needed.

What You'll Need

• 2-4 years of relevant experience in facilities management, workplace services, operations, or a related field.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience coordinating vendors, contractors, or service providers.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of assignments.
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
• Professional customer service skills and the ability to build positive working relationships.
• Flexibility to work between the Enfield and Shelton locations based on business needs. These locations are 1.5 hours away from each other. Preference for candidates that live halfway between (~Plainville, CT). Candidate will not be travelling between both on the same day.
