Job Description
Inpatient Dialysis Registered Nurse (RN) - 13 Week Contract

Schedule

Shift: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM. The position involves on-call responsibilities, including early calls from 12:00 AM - 6:30 AM, late calls from 7:00 PM - 12:00 AM, and rotating Sunday 24-hour call coverage.

Job Description

This role is focused on providing hemodialysis treatments to adult patients in an inpatient environment. The Dialysis RN will work in a collaborative setting and is expected to manage the treatments of higher acuity patients independently.

Responsibilities

• Initiating, monitoring, and terminating dialysis treatments
• Communicating effectively with healthcare providers throughout patient treatment
• Troubleshooting dialysis machines independently
• Administering medications and managing vascular access

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Prior inpatient dialysis RN experience is strongly preferred
• Experience with hemodialysis is required
• Familiarity with Fresenius dialysis machines is preferred
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills
• Ability to work independently in acute care settings
• Experience documenting in Epic is preferred
