The Millwright / Industrial Mechanic will troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain a variety of heavy industrial equipment while helping maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.ResponsibilitiesPerform preventive and predictive maintenance on industrial equipmentTroubleshoot and repair conveyor systems, motors, gearboxes, pumps, bearings, and rotating equipmentReplace bearings, shafts, couplings, chains, sprockets, and other mechanical componentsPerform precision alignments of motors, drives, and rotating equipmentConduct equipment inspections and identify potential maintenance issuesRead and interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, and technical drawingsFabricate and modify equipment components as neededPerform welding, cutting, grinding, and torch work for repairsSafely use rigging equipment, cranes, hoists, and lifting devicesAssist with installation of new equipment and maintenance projectsMaintain detailed maintenance records and documentationFollow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout, confined space, fall protection, and hot work requirementsCross-train on operational equipment including loaders, dozers, locomotives, cranes, and other mobile equipmentQualificationsMinimum 3 years of industrial maintenance, millwright, mechanic, or heavy equipment repair experienceExperience troubleshooting and repairing conveyor systems, rotating equipment, and industrial machineryStrong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilitiesExperience with bearing replacement, shaft alignment, and equipment installationAbility to read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematicsExperience using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and oxy-acetylene torchesExperience with rigging, cranes, hoists, and material handling equipmentAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionStrong safety mindset and attention to detailPreferred QualificationsMillwright experienceExperience working at ports, terminals, steel mills, power plants, mining operations, aggregate facilities, or other heavy industrial environmentsWelding and fabrication experienceExperience troubleshooting industrial automation or PLC-controlled equipmentExperience maintaining conveyor systems and bulk material handling equipmentPhysical RequirementsAbility to work outdoors in all weather conditionsComfortable working at heights and in confined spacesAbility to lift, carry, push, and pull maintenance materials and equipmentAbility to stand, walk, climb, kneel, crouch, and perform physically demanding maintenance tasks
