Employee Benefits Coordinator

Job Description:

Under the direction of the Department Manager, Human Resources, the Employee Benefits Coordinator will support the Senior Benefits Administrator in the comprehensive administration of both bargained and non-bargained employee health benefits. This role includes enrolling eligible employees in their respective health benefit plans, including medical, dental, vision, Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs), Dependent Care FSAs, and COBRA benefits. The Employee Benefits Coordinator will also assist with researching and resolving participant benefit issues; entering and monitoring Universal Transmittal Forms through a third party administrator’s portal; supporting the annual open enrollment process and wellness fair; and assisting with vendor contract submissions. Essential functions include:

1. Assisting in the administration of bargained and non-bargained employee health benefits.
2. Enrolling eligible employees into health, dental, vision, FSA, Dependent Care FSA, and COBRA benefits.
3. Assisting in the researching and resolving participant benefit issues.
4. Monitoring and processing monthly vendor payments using Oracle and ACH payment process requests.
5. Entering and monitoring Universal Transmittal Forms using a TPA employer portal.
6. Assisting with the annual open enrollment and wellness health fair.
7. Providing support in the administration of all benefits programs.
8. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of employee benefit files.
9. Communicating effectively with employees regarding their benefits and any changes.
10. Collaborating with the Senior Benefits Administrator and other HR team members to ensure smooth operations.
11. Assisting in evaluation of goods and services related to benefits.

Qualifications

Education:

A high school diploma or GED required. Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

Experience:

Must have two (2) years of prior administrative, clerical, customer service, or office support experience. Must be able to maintain confidentiality, work accurately with detailed information, and provide excellent customer service.

Proficiencies:

Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite products, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel. Experience with Oracle is a plus.

Must have strong customer service skills and be detail-oriented. Must have experience managing vendor relationships.

Must have excellent organizational skills and be an effective written and verbal communicator.

Physical Requirements:

This role requires sitting for extended periods, typing on a computer, and attending meetings .

Working Conditions:

The position is based in an office setting with standard office equipment. The typical workday is eight hours and may begin as early as 7:00 a.m. and end no later than 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. However, the business needs of Pace may result in work schedules outside the typical hours/workdays. This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule after a six-month job introduction period.

Salary

N6 Full Salary Range: $44,057-$90,374

Midpoint: $67,216

Starting Salary Range: $44,057-$67,216
