What You'll Do as a Fence Installer The Fence Installer supports the Project Foreman with the installation of fence systems, ensuring quality workmanship, safety, and customer satisfaction on every project. Follow instructions and fence installation procedures provided by the Project Foreman Review plans, drawings, or verbal instructions to measure and lay out fence lines accurately Establish fence locations in safe areas after utility locates are completed Dig, auger, and tamp post holes using hand tools, power tools, and power-driven equipment Set or pound metal or wood posts in varied ground conditions Mix and pour concrete or tamp soil to securely set posts Cut lumber or metal to required lengths for rails and fence components Stretch and secure wire fencing using appropriate tools and techniques Assemble and install gates in proper alignment and position Load, unload, and distribute materials and maintain tools and equipment safely Perform additional duties as needed to support project completion What You Bring Valid driver's license Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions Strong communication skills with coworkers, supervisors, and customers Honest, dependable, and professional representation of High Country Fence Strong commitment to jobsite safety and use of required PPE Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Prior fence installation, construction, or equipment experience preferred Physical Demands Ability to: Lift 50 lbs. to shoulder height or higher Push or pull up to 50 lbs. Walk or hike up to one mile on uneven terrain Endure extreme climate variances (e.g., severe cold to high heat and humidity) Hear, speak, see, and communicate effectively Operate two-handed tools and equipment Continuously - Standing, Walking, Handling/Grasping, Repetitive Movements, Bending/Stooping. Frequently - Lifting/Carrying, Pushing/Pulling, Digging, Operating Power Tools. Occasionally - Driving, Climbing, Reaching Overhead. Rarely - Sitting, Welding. Never - Confined Spaces Comments: You should expect variability in size, proportions, conditions, and weights of supplies, equipment, and work conditions. Environmental Conditions Continuously - Outdoor work Occasionally - Noise Levels Frequently - Extreme Temperatures Rarely - Contact with hazardous materials or air quality issues Never - Confined Spaces Comments: You should expect variability based on regional weather patterns. Personal protective equipment is required to be worn by OSHA and ANSI.
