Army Navy Country Club is a prestigious private, member-owned institution with a history dating back to 1924. Spanning 488 acres across two campuses located in Arlington and Fairfax, Virginia. As a housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization throughout the Club. Your duties will include cleaning and sanitizing guest areas, event spaces, and common areas, as well as responding promptly to member requests for assistance. Your attention to detail and commitment to creating a clean and welcoming environment will be vital in enhancing the overall experience for our members and ensuring their satisfaction.

ANCC housekeepers are responsible for providing the highest quality housekeeping service to our members and guests, while maintaining the service standards set forth by the housekeeping management team. Work hard to promote the business and best interests of Army Navy Country Club.

Specific duties and responsibilities include:

• Perform daily scheduled cleaning services as assigned by Manager
• Surface dusting
• Vacuum, mop and sweep
• Clean windows
• Bathroom cleaning
• Laundry
• Iron
• Perform thorough deep clean of event spaces as required
• Report all maintenance issues to Manager, immediately
• Report all safety and security issues to Manager, immediately
• Communicate with Manager to ensure all guest/member requests are fulfilled
• Complete all other tasks as assigned by the Service Manager

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

• The employee in this position must possess the knowledge and skills to demonstrate the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities. The employee in this position should be dependable, trustworthy, able to work well in a team, and lift up to 40lbs. This position requires the employee to communicate effectively with members and guests to ensure that service is provided to them in a professional and responsive manner, and to communicate with co-workers to ensure that job responsibilities are performed in an efficient, effective and safe manner.

• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, stand
• Must be high energy, guest service oriented and able to ensure our guests/members are handled with the utmost courtesy and professionalism
• Must have the ability to effectively communicate with guest/members and co-workers
• Must be able lift, carry, pull and push 40+ lbs. constantly and frequently. Position also requires standing for a long period of time and frequent bending

• Gas powered or electric utility vehicle
• Vacuum
• Iron
• Linens, tables, chairs
• Walkie Talkie
• All-purpose cleaner, bleach, disinfectant, furniture polish, oven cleaner, glass cleaner and other related general cleaning products

Education, experience, and training: This employee should have a high school education. Hotel or country club experience preferred. Compensation and benefits: Hourly compensation will be commensurate with experience.
