Maintenance Technician - PT

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to support the operation, maintenance, and repair of building systems, equipment, and infrastructure. This role is responsible for ensuring facility safety, reliability, and performance while delivering high-quality service to internal and external stakeholders.
This is a hands-on, team-oriented position ideal for technicians with a strong trade background and the ability to troubleshoot across multiple disciplines.
Responsibilities

Maintenance Execution

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility systems, equipment, and infrastructure
Diagnose and resolve issues using technical expertise across electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and general building systems
Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with safety and regulatory standards
Maintain and improve equipment reliability, focusing on minimizing downtime and extending asset life
Identify required parts and tools and ensure availability prior to task execution
Support inventory management for maintenance supplies and PPE
Coordinate and oversee contract labor when necessary

Training & Team Collaboration

Maintain required certifications and training
Support and coach team members on safety practices and technical skills
Contribute to a collaborative, team-focused work environment

Capital Equipment Support

ssist in planning and evaluating capital equipment and facility upgrades
Provide recommendations to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase equipment reliability
Maintain records of facility assets, including location, condition, and lifecycle status

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; trade school certification preferred
Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial or facility maintenance
Strong background in electrical troubleshooting and repair
Working knowledge of multiple trades, including mechanical, HVAC, carpentry, and general maintenance
Familiarity with OSHA and safety compliance standards
Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in industrial or commercial facilities maintenance environments
Certifications such as OSHA 10 (General Industry) or NFPA 70E
Experience working with contractors and vendor management
Proven ability to support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
