Entry Level IT Hardwware Technician

TRC Talent Solutions is partnering with a growing technology company seeking a Hardware Support Technician to join their team in Ocala, FL. Ocala, FL – Fully Onsite

Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST

Starting at $40,000 annually (DOE)

Summary

As a Hardware Support Technician, you will assist with installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting computer hardware, software, and proprietary systems. This role offers exposure to technical support, customer service, networking, and system configuration while providing opportunities to develop valuable IT and electronics skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and configure proprietary software, PCs, and related equipment.
• Provide technical support and assist customers with troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
• Perform basic setup and maintenance of computer systems and peripherals.
• Assist with onsite and in-house equipment installations.
• Train customers on system operation and basic maintenance procedures.
• Troubleshoot computer hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Support quality testing and documentation activities.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and service documentation.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve customer issues and support upgrades.
• Deliver professional and timely customer service.

Qualifications

• Strong interest in technology, computer hardware, or electronics.
• Basic understanding of computer troubleshooting and repair.
• Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn new technologies.
• Associate's degree, technical school training, CompTIA A+, military technical experience, or related coursework is preferred but not required.
• Previous experience through internships, part-time work, personal projects, or customer service roles is a plus.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds and work in a technical lab environment.
• Ability to travel up to 10%
