Manufacturing Project Engineer

12-Month+ Contract | Onsite
1st Shift | Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-5:00 PM ET

Our client, a global leader in the medical device industry, is seeking a Manufacturing Project Engineer for a 12-month+ contract opportunity.

This position will provide engineering and project support for manufacturing operations, including process improvements, new product introductions (NPI), new equipment and process implementation, continuous improvement, and cost-reduction initiatives .

Responsibilities

Provide engineering support for manufacturing processes, projects, and operations.
Support new product introductions (NPI) and new equipment/process implementation.
Evaluate manufacturing processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and cost.
Support manufacturing projects from planning through implementation.
Apply engineering principles to troubleshoot manufacturing and process issues.
Analyze manufacturing data and recommend process improvements.
Support continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives .
Review technical documentation and engineering drawings.
Work cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and other teams.
Apply technical knowledge to improve manufacturing workflows and processes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, procedures, and systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to apply engineering judgment with minimal supervision.
Experience with technical writing and engineering drawing evaluation.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with engineering or manufacturing software.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Experience

Medical device manufacturing experience.
Internship or co-op experience in manufacturing, engineering, or project-based work .
Experience working on engineering projects through internships, co-ops, school projects, or extracurricular activities.
Exposure to manufacturing processes, automation, or robotics .
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement principles.
Experience with Microsoft Project, Excel, or other project management tools .

Recent engineering graduates with relevant manufacturing internship or co-op experience are encouraged to apply.

Contract: 12+ Months
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM ET
Work Arrangement: Onsite
