EHS Specialist

EHS SpecialistWe are seeking an EHS Specialist to support a large manufacturing operation and help drive a strong, proactive safety culture. This hands on role will focus on hazard identification, incident investigation, regulatory compliance, and safety programs.ResponsibilitiesConduct facility inspections, safety audits, and incident investigations.Develop, implement, and continuously improve safety policies, procedures, training, and risk reduction programs.Partner with operations leadership, supervisors, employees, and contractors to address hazards and drive corrective actions.Support OSHA and other regulatory compliance, audits, inspections, hot work permitting, and confined space programs.Recommend and implement practical safety improvements, equipment, and processes to reduce risk and improve workplace safety.QualificationsBachelor's degree plus 3+ years of experience, or 10+ years of safety experience with no degree.Manufacturing or heavy industrial safety experience preferred. CSP or similar professional certification is a plus.Strong knowledge of OSHA and applicable federal, state, and local safety regulations, with familiarity with DOT, DHS, and other regulatory agencies.Strong communication, problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently.
