Responsibilities TransportationSecurityOfficersprovide securityandprotectionofairtravelers,airports, and aircraftinacourteousandprofessionalmanner. Screeners will usediverse,cuttingedgeelectronicdetectionandimagingequipmenttoidentifydangerous objectsinbaggage,cargo,andonpassengers, preventingthoseobjectsfrombeing transportedontoaircraft.Thisincludesbutisnotlimitedtopatdownsearches,operationofx-raymachines,baggagescreeningandticketreview. Qualifications Mustbe aUSCitizen. MustpossessaHighSchoolDiplomaorG.E.D. Mustbeproficient intheEnglish language. Mustbe 18yearsofageorolder. Mustsuccessfullypassabackgroundinvestigationtoinclude acriminalcheck andfingerprintingpriortohire.SecurityScreenersarerequiredtobeableto obtain andmaintain aSecretClearance MustpassaDrugScreeningandMedicalEvaluation. Must successfully complete TSA’s two-week new hire training. Must be available to work various shifts, weekends and holidays.
