Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to medical-surgical telemetry boarding patients in an emergency department setting
• Manage a patient load within a typical 5:1 nurse-to-patient ratio in a high-volume environment
• Monitor and interpret telemetry data for boarding patients awaiting inpatient bed placement
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and facilitate patient throughput
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using electronic health record systems

Required Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association
• ACLS certification through the American Heart Association
• Experience in a Level 1 Trauma facility
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health records
• Prior experience with boarder patients in an emergency department setting (must be reflected on resume)
• Must pass telemetry competency testing on Day 1; practice tests administered during onboarding with a maximum of two attempts allowed

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience managing high patient volumes in a fast-paced ED or medical-surgical telemetry environment
• Familiarity with boarding patient workflows and ED-to-inpatient transition processes
