This is a great opportunity for someone who loves working with young children and wants to build experience in a professional preschool environment. You'll work alongside experienced Lead Teachers to create a safe, engaging, and nurturing classroom where children can learn, play, and grow. Key Responsibilities Support Lead Teachers with daily classroom routines and learning activities Engage children through play, art, music, movement, stories, and hands-on experiences Assist with meals, diapering/toileting, rest time, transitions, and outdoor play as appropriate Support children's language, cognitive, physical, and social-emotional development Provide attentive supervision and positive guidance Help prepare classroom activities and learning materials Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow educators Provide classroom coverage and support as needed Follow applicable New York City childcare health, safety, and licensing requirements Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Previous daycare, preschool, childcare, or experience working with children preferred Early Childhood Education coursework or CDA is a plus Patient, dependable, energetic, and team-oriented Strong communication and relationship-building skills Must meet applicable New York City childcare requirements What We Offer Competitive pay of $19-$21 per hour Consistent full-time Monday-Friday schedule Paid training and professional development Employee childcare discount Supportive leadership and collaborative teaching environment Opportunities for professional growth and advancement Apply today to join The Learning Experience - Upper West Side and become part of a team helping young children learn, grow, and thrive every day.
