As a Tax Manager | Senior Manager - Trust & Estate , you will manage high-net-worth client engagements, from tax planning through the review of a variety of tax returns, as well as coach and supervise other tax professionals. This position can be hybrid or in-office at either of our Chicago suburban offices: Frankfort or Northbrook. There is potential to be fully remote, ideally within 2 hour driving distance from one of our offices for in-person meetings. We offer flexible schedules to allow for work/life balance. You’ll be responsible for… Prepare or review a diverse variety of complex returns for our high-net-worth clients for their trusts, estate (1041’s), and foundations Consult with our estate/gift tax subject matter experts to develop income and estate/gift tax planning strategies for our clients Maintain current in-depth knowledge of and be able to read and interpret estate planning documents such as trusts and wills and be able to recommend planning ideas to our clients. Review complex trust income tax returns, and estate income tax returns (Form 1041) Assists with developing, recommending, and implementing efficient and effective methods to maximize client benefits, especially by decreasing clients current and future taxes Train and mentor managers/seniors/associates on specialization areas, research skills, and helps to appropriately frame tax issues for analysis Performs other duties as assigned What’s in it for you?
