Forklift Driver- ProductionDenali Staffing Group is assisting one of our valued clients in recruiting a reliable and safety-focused Forklift Driver – Production. This position plays a critical role in supporting daily production operations by ensuring the safe and efficient movement of paper products throughout the facility. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.The Forklift Driver – Production is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a forklift to move paper products to and from storage areas and production machines. This role supports continuous production operations by ensuring timely delivery of raw materials and removal of finished goods while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment.Safely operate a forklift to transport paper products within the production and storage areasRespond promptly to production operators' needs for raw materials and removal of finished goodsReport hazards, defective materials, and equipment issues to management immediatelyAccurately complete required paperwork and production documentationMaintain a clean, orderly, and hazard-free work area and equipmentFollow all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA guidelinesPerform propane/gas tank changes and connect/disconnect forklift batteries as requiredSit for extended periods to operate a forklift (including driving in reverse) and stand/walk for a minimum of an 8-hour shiftContinuously lift, carry, push, and pull up to 30 poundsWork overtime as required to meet production demandsOperate forklifts safely and efficiently in a fast-paced production environmentEnsure timely material handling to support production schedulesPerform routine janitorial and deep cleaning tasks as assignedKeep all work areas clean, organized, and production-ready at all timesParticipate in special projects and assist with changing production needsDemonstrate flexibility in response to customer and production schedule changesMaintain professional and courteous behavior at all timesPerform other duties as assignedHigh School Diploma or equivalentAbility to learn and apply safe forklift operation and material handling practicesAbility to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodationAbility to understand verbal and written instructions and training materialsAbility to accurately complete required paperworkAbility to sit, stand, and walk for a full 8-hour shiftAbility to continuously lift, carry, push, and pull a minimum of 30 poundsAbility to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organizationPrevious forklift operator experiencePrior experience in a manufacturing environmentPrior experience in paper manufacturingThis position is based in a factory setting where temperature fluctuations occur throughout the year. Employees are required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including eye and hearing protection, and must remain alert and cautious around production equipment and forklifts.
