Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)

GiaCare Inc. is accepting applications from experienced Operating Room Registered Nurses (OR RNs) for a future opportunity supporting Evans Army Community Hospital at Fort Carson, Colorado.

This position is being recruited in anticipation of contract award. Qualified candidates will be considered for employment upon contract award.

Join a collaborative perioperative team providing exceptional surgical care to active-duty service members, military retirees, and their families at one of the Army's premier military treatment facilities. This position offers the opportunity to work in a high-acuity surgical environment while supporting military readiness and patient care.

Schedule

• Full-Time
• Monday-Friday
• 8-hour shift: 6:45 AM-3:15 PM
• 10-hour shift: 6:45 AM-5:15 PM
• Rotating on-call responsibilities
• Federal holidays as required by the medical treatment facility

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care for surgical patients
• Prepare patients for surgical procedures and provide post-operative assessments
• Assist surgeons and the surgical team during operative procedures
• Monitor patient condition and respond appropriately to changes in status
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders
• Maintain sterile technique and ensure compliance with infection prevention standards
• Document patient care accurately within the electronic medical record
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to promote optimal patient outcomes

Minimum Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Current, full, active, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in any U.S. state or territory
• Minimum one (1) year of Operating Room nursing experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willing to obtain)
• Current Advanced Life Support (ALS/ACLS) certification (or willing to obtain)
• Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (or willing to obtain)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a hospital operating room
• Knowledge of AORN standards
• Experience with electronic medical records
