# Description**A.S. Aerospace Inc.** manufactures high strength specialty fasteners, including nuts, bolts, screws, studs, and pins. Our products are of the highest quality and very close tolerances. Join one of the fastest-growing aerospace companies in the Santa Clarita Valley!****We offer a competitive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision.** **Hot Heading Operator/Set-up****Department****:** Hot Heading**Department/ Area:**Machine Shop**Position Summary:** Candidates are required to operate a punch press with an induction heater to forge heads on high strength bolts and run forging press. Candidates are required to monitor temperature of punch press, feed bolt in and out of punch press with pliers. Ability to prepare set-up a plus.**Minimum Qualifications****:** Micrometer and caliper experience a plus. High School graduate or equivalent. Basic math and reading skills. Lifting to 25 lbs. and moving 40 lbs. pans with dollies.**Reporting Relationships:** Will report to lead person or department supervisor.**Working Conditions:** Standing most of the time. Repetitive motion (approximately 2 times a minute). Candidate will be working on a powerful punch press machine to run batches of high strength bolts at a constant heated temperature of 1800°.**Success Factors****:**The candidate should have a good attitude and be willing to learn. Good communications skills a plus. Candidates should understand the importance of material flow- constant and steady**Position type**:**Requires full work time only. 8 hours a shift- Monday to Friday - overtime expected depending on production needs.** **Regular attendance is an essential job function.***This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by this employee.
