Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical/Surgical unit in an inpatient hospital setting
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols
• Monitor and document patient progress, changes in condition, and responses to care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes
• Adhere to all facility policies, Joint Commission standards, and state regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of New Mexico or compact eligibility
• Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience
• All required certifications must be obtained and verified prior to start date
• Must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify as a travel candidate
• Must comply with New Mexico State fingerprinting requirement: all clinical staff must be fingerprinted before hire and provide documentation that the background check is being processed (a 14-day supervised waiver may be available while awaiting results)
• BLS certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in a Med/Surg setting
• Familiarity with Joint Commission accreditation standards and stroke or chest pain center protocols
• Experience working in a facility offering both inpatient and outpatient diagnostic, therapeutic, and rehabilitative services
