With sales and service locations throughout the world, and over 100 years of battery experience, EnerSys is the power/full solution for stored DC power products.Job Purpose: The Systems Administrator II is responsible for the support, maintenance, and day-to-day operation of enterprise IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, and endpoint systems. This role focuses on ensuring system availability, performance, and security through execution of operational tasks, troubleshooting, and adherence to established standards. The position works closely with senior administrators and IT leadership to support infrastructure initiatives while providing reliable support to the business and user community.Essential Duties And Responsibilities:Administer and support Windows-based server and infrastructure environments, including physical and virtual systemsCreate and maintain user accounts, access controls, and security privileges in Microsoft Active Directory environmentsSupport system backup and recovery processes to ensure availability and integrity of critical systemsMonitor system performance, availability, and alerts; troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issuesSupport virtualization environments (e.g., VMware), including routine maintenance and operational supportMaintain and support enterprise email systems, including mailbox administration and distribution listsSupport endpoint systems, mobile devices, and associated management technologiesAssist in maintaining infrastructure security tools and controls in coordination with IT/OT Security (e.g., endpoint protection, system hardening)Provide second-level support for help desk and end-user issues, including escalation resolutionAssist with system upgrades, patching, and maintenance activitiesDocument system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting stepsSupport infrastructure projects and deployments under direction of senior administrators or managementFollow established IT standards, policies, and procedures to ensure consistency and complianceSupport audit, compliance, and documentation requirementsParticipate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as requiredQualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education And Experience:Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent experience3 to 5 years of experience in systems administration or IT infrastructure supportKnowledge, Skills, And Abilities:Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory environmentsExperience with virtualization platforms such as VMwareFamiliarity with backup, storage, and disaster recovery technologiesBasic understanding of networking and infrastructure conceptsFamiliarity with endpoint management and mobile device supportUnderstanding of IT security best practices and ability to follow established controlsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to follow processes and work within established standardsEffective communication skills and ability to work with end users and technical teamsGeneral Job Requirements:This position will work in an office setting, expect minimal physical demands.
