Route Driver

Route DriverOur Route Drivers are responsible for the timely pickup and delivery of customer orders between residential and commercial accounts and the production facility. This role ensures excellent customer service, accurate order handling, and safe transport of orders while maintaining assigned routes on a consistent schedule.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPick up ready-for-cleaning garments from customer locations on assigned route scheduleDeliver clean items back to customers in a timely mannerVerify order accuracy at pickup and delivery (counts, special instructions)Follow established delivery routes and schedules efficientlyCommunicate delays, route changes, or issues to leadershipOptimize route efficiency when directedSafely handle orders to prevent damage or lossEnsure proper tracking of items using POS scanning/manifest systemCustomer ServiceProvide friendly, professional interaction with customers at every stopAddress basic custom questions and escalate issues when neededAlways represent the company in a positive and professional mannerVehicle and Equipment CareOperate company vehicle safely and in compliance with traffic lawsConduct daily vehicle inspections (fuel, tires, cleanliness, maintenance needs)Keep vehicle interior clean and organizedReport maintenance issues promptlyQualificationsAbility to read, write, and speak English; ability to follow verbal and written instructionsAbility to operate a cellular phone for delivery instructions via a digital manifestAttention to detail and qualityStrong time management and reliabilityAbility to work independently while contributing to the overall success of a teamCriminal background check required18 years or olderValid driver's license with clean driving recordPhysical RequirementsAbility to frequently enter and exit a delivery vanStanding, walking, lifting, and carrying garments and laundry bagsFrequent bending, lifting, reaching, and repetitive motionAbility to grasp items and lift/move up to 25 pounds from place to place throughout the workdayAbility to work in varying weather conditionsWork EnvironmentDriving a large delivery van without supervisionTime-sensitive delivery schedulesDirect interaction with residential and commercial customersScheduleMonday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday – operational route days with a start time of 7:30amWednesday – non-operation route day designated for training, customer retention, and route growthBenefitsPaid time offEmployee discountsHealth and retirement benefits (if applicable)Employee Assistance ProgramEqual Employment Opportunity StatementClassic Drycleaners and Laundromats is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity in the workplace.
