Quality Assurance Specialist

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $55,000 to $60,000 per year.

Job Responsibilities

• Monitor quality programs and compliance activities to ensure products, processes, and documentation meet established standards.
• Investigate quality concerns, review nonconformance issues, and support corrective action initiatives to improve performance.
• Maintain quality records, specifications, certifications, and supporting documentation for internal and external requirements.
• Assist with audit preparation, compliance reviews, and ongoing quality system maintenance activities.
• Partner with suppliers, vendors, and internal departments to support quality improvement efforts and operational effectiveness.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in food science, quality management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 2+ years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, food safety, or a related function.
• Previous experience within food manufacturing, beverage, ingredient, nutraceutical, or similar regulated industries.
• Strong understanding of quality systems, regulatory compliance, documentation control, and audit requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and general business software.

Qualifications

• Prior experience supporting certification programs, food safety standards, and third party audit processes.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with suppliers and cross functional teams.
• Highly organized and detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Self motivated professional who can work independently while maintaining a collaborative approach to quality improvement initiatives.
