Highlights include: * 31-bed Emergency Department * 4:1 nurse-to-patient ratio for acute patients * Specially designed behavioral health safe rooms * Care for patients across the lifespan with a wide range of medical emergencies * Designated Chest Pain Center and Certified Advanced Primary Stroke Center Sovah Health - Danville is also an academic teaching site, supporting the education and professional growth of residents, medical students, nurses, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, and physician assistants. How you'll contribute A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role: * Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities. * Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family. * Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. * Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs. * Evaluates patient and family learning needs and provides appropriate education based on age, culture, condition, and circumstances. * Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient. * Participates in performance improvement and continuing education. * Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts or units as needed. Provides for personal care, comfort and assists with safe, clean environment, maintains equipment and supplies. Under the supervision of an RN, performs basic patient care activities. Applicants should have a current VA RN license or compact state * Associates degree in nursing required. Additional requirements include: * American Heart Association Basic Life Support required * Experience in acute care hospital, preferred * American Heart Association ACLS within 6 months. * Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) American Heart Association OR Emergency Nurse Association (ENPC) within 6 months. * Trauma Nurse Certification Course (TNCC) Emergency Nurse Association, preferred) Hourly range - $33.19 - $44.81 per hour EEOC Statement Sovah Health - Danville is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
