About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PCU Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year required; first-time travelers accepted License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Experience with titrating cardiac drips and continuous telemetry monitoring Description: This position provides care within a Neuro/Stroke PCU environment. Patient population includes adolescents to geriatrics. Patient assignments will be at the PCU level. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4. Daily census averages 30 patients with a capacity of 36 beds. Floating may be required within the facility and scope of practice. Holidays must be worked if they fall within the assignment period. Compliance with onboarding requirements is mandatory for timely start. No block scheduling is available. Experience with cardiac telemetry and various medical conditions is preferred. This role requires skills in managing BiPAP/CPAP, administering blood products, and telemetry monitoring. Candidates should be adept at neuro step-down care and performing phlebotomy. Management of cardiac and vasoactive drips will be necessary. Effective communication and teamwork with interdisciplinary support teams are essential.
