Description

American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist/Cardiac Sonographer with ARDMS or CCI certification and 1+ years of experience to work across multiple hospital locations in Denver.

Details

• Work in a clinical setting performing cardiac and vascular sonography exams
• Rotates across multiple facility locations, including St. Joseph's, Platte Valley, Good Samaritan, and Lutheran, typically one location per day
• Monday-Friday schedule, approximately 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• No on-call requirements and no holiday coverage
• Uses Epic for charting
• Potential for contract-to-hire for the right candidate

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required
• ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in sonography
• License required if applicable
• Strong sonography and digital proficiency skills
• Clinical care, time management, and risk management skills
• Healthcare language fluency and patient instructional skills
• Quality assurance and healthcare professional development skills

Additional Information

• Prioritize, schedule, and coordinate exams with medical staff, physicians, other caregivers, and patients
• Prepare patients for exams including identification processes, education, and transportation
• Perform ultrasound exams according to protocols while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and quality outcomes
• Communicate and coordinate patient care needs with physicians, caregivers, patients, and family throughout the exam
• Ensure patient stability and safety after exam completion
• Mentor caregivers and students on equipment use and procedural technique
• Document exam results and apply appropriate charge codes for exams and supplies
• Clean and maintain equipment and work area, coordinating repair or supply needs as necessary
• Support team quality improvement initiatives and participate in ongoing education
• Permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
