Shift: 12-hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Hours per Week: 36

Licenses/Certifications: Kansas RN or Compact RN License, BLS, ACLS, NIHF

Experience: Minimum 2 years in Critical Care/ICU, with experience in balloon pump, CRRT, Impella, open hearts, labs, PICC, and codes

Pay & Benefits

• Hourly Pay Rate: $88.50/hour (before admin fees)

What You'll Do

• Provide high-quality nursing care for critical and complex patients, including neuro, cardiac, and surgical cases
• Monitor and manage patients on balloon pumps, CRRT, Impella devices, or open-heart procedures
• Conduct own lab draws, handle PICC lines, and respond to emergencies confidently
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across inpatient units, including med-surg, tele, and ED
• Float to other units as needed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability
• Ensure compliance with all safety and clinical protocols during shifts

What You Need

• Active Kansas RN license or Compact RN license
• BLS, ACLS, NIHF certifications
• At least 2 years of recent ICU/critical care experience
• Experience with balloon pump, CRRT, Impella, open heart, labs, PICC, and codes

Preferred:

• Experience with critical care devices and advanced patient management
• Comfort working independently and handling diverse units and patient conditions

About the Assignment This role is based in a hybrid ICU/PCU unit, accommodating a mix of neuro, cardiac, surgical, and medical patients. The unit maintains a 2:1 patient-to-nurse ratio, flexing to 3:1 for less critical cases. The schedule involves night shifts, every other weekend, with some holiday coverage based on unit needs. Orientation includes comprehensive training on-site, including Epic systems and nursing protocols.
