Description Preschool Teacher for 3-Year-Olds at YMCA Join our dedicated team at the YMCA as a Preschool Teacher, where you will have the opportunity to positively influence the development of young children in a nurturing and engaging environment. We are seeking a passionate and caring professional who is committed to fostering a love of learning and supporting the social, emotional, and cognitive growth of preschoolers. Key Responsibilities Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning, creativity, and social skills Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment for all children Observe and assess children's developmental progress and communicate with parents and guardians regularly Support children's emotional well-being and encourage positive behavior Collaborate with team members to develop curriculum and classroom strategies Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom and educational materials Ensure compliance with all safety and licensing regulations At the YMCA, we value diversity, inclusion, and continuous growth. Skills and Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred Prior experience working with preschool-aged children Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate teaching methods Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Patience, creativity, and a nurturing attitude Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire) DCF 45 hours Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff #J-18808-Ljbffr YMCA of the Treasure Coast
