Job Summary and Qualifications The CT Technologist performs computerized tomography diagnostic procedures as outlined by the radiologist. Operates diagnostic equipment, verifies images, and prepares the room with necessary equipment and supplies for the procedure. The technologist is responsible for assisting in the primary mission of the medical imaging department by ensuring that proper diagnostic information is provided through the production of high‑quality CT scans. Other duties include clerical tasks, scheduling, diagnostic imaging, transportation, ordering supplies, inventory, cleaning and any other duties deemed necessary by the medical imaging management team. The job may include direct supervision of students at the discretion of the area supervisor. Employees must have the same licensure or have completed the same training to satisfy the requirements of the discipline of the student. Position Requirements Licensure/Certification/Registration: ARRT required upon hire SCRQSA required upon hire BLS – Healthcare provider on hire or within 30 days of hire from American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) CT registration preferred CT experience strongly preferred Education Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology and/or ARRT / CNMT We provide care to nearly 375,000 South Carolina Low Country residents each year.
