IT Cloud Platform Engineer

The IT Cloud Platform Engineer position is responsible for engineering, coordinating, cost forecasting, and the global standardization of the following key technological areas. This role utilizes experience in implementing established architectural standards that enable DevOps practices such as infrastructure as code, and automated continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).

This role’s expertise could include storage, Backup, Platform Operating Systems, Databases, Networks, Telecommunications, and Virtualization. As part of this role, the engineer is expected to contribute to the strategy and roadmaps as required to develop, build, and migrate on-prem systems to known cloud foundational services including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS. Key deliverables of the architect position are focused on standards development, stability, security, efficiency, upgrades, migrations, Disaster Recovery, and system integration/inter-operability. Primary responsibilities include developing and implementing policies for the use of cloud services, managing requests for new technology, establishing a secure cloud environment, and ensuring appropriate availability of services.

Must Haves:

1. AWS Services: Terraform
2. General Infra: VMware, windows/Unix/Linux
3. Large scale environment build/deploy
4. Broad Infrastructure background to take on any needs of an entire environment
