EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR Seven Nations Soaring Eagle Treatment Centre Society Creston, British Columbia | Permanent, Full-Time | On-Site | $120,000–$140,000 Reports to Board of Directors Application Deadline: December 31, 2026 Status: Permanent, Full-Time Location: Creston, BC — On-Site Summary Seven Nations Soaring Eagle Treatment Centre provides a culturally rooted, strength-based and trauma-informed approach to healing and wellness. The Executive Director will lead the transition from development into full operational capacity and provide strategic, operational and organizational leadership. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will ensure the Centre’s vision, ceremonial-based healing curriculum, Ktunaxa Nation Social Sector Framework and Practice Framework are reflected in strategy, services and day-to-day operations. Key Accountabilities Provide strategic leadership and implement organizational priorities, plans and performance measures aligned with the Centre’s vision and frameworks. Lead the operationalization of the Centre, including policies, procedures, clinical/operational protocols, accreditation readiness and continuous improvement. Provide financial leadership, including budgeting, forecasting, expenditure oversight, cost control and financial monitoring. Build, lead and support a high-performing management team across administration, human resources and clinical/service functions. Lead recruitment, onboarding, performance management, organizational development and a culture of accountability, respect and collaboration. Develop and maintain effective relationships with the Board, Ktunaxa Nation leadership, Indigenous partners, health-sector partners, funders and community stakeholders. Champion culturally respectful, trauma-informed and Indigenous-led approaches to healing, wellness and participant services. Ensure effective governance, regulatory, privacy, risk-management, quality-assurance and accreditation practices. Support appropriate information, data management and electronic health record systems while maintaining privacy, security and reporting requirements. What We’re Looking For 7–10 years of progressive leadership experience, preferably within an Indigenous healing, wellness, healthcare, addictions or related environment. Master’s degree or equivalent, with professional registration/membership where applicable. Demonstrated senior leadership experience in strategic planning, operations, financial management and organizational development. Experience leading multidisciplinary teams, recruitment, performance management and organizational change. Strong understanding of trauma-informed, decolonizing and culturally grounded approaches to mental wellness and healing. Knowledge and appreciation of Ktunaxa culture, heritage and traditions, with the ability to support their respectful integration into services and programming. Strong relationship-building, communication, negotiation and stakeholder-engagement skills. Knowledge of quality assurance, accreditation, regulatory compliance, privacy and data management in a health or human-services environment.
