Job Code: 520546 Job Closing Date: 7/6/2026 (applications will not be accepted after this date) Position: Environmental Scientist – Water Quality Standards/Nonpoint Source Unit Location: 73‑720 Fred Waring Dr., Suite 100, Palm Desert, CA 92260 Responsibilities: Perform scientific office and field work related to environmental and natural resource management. Conduct research and data collection to support environmental monitoring and assessment. Analyze and interpret water quality data for compliance with regulatory standards. Prepare reports and documentation of findings for internal and external stakeholders. Collaborate with other units and agencies on water quality initiatives. Qualifications: Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field. Experience in field sampling, laboratory analysis, or data management in a water quality context preferred. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Effective communication skills, both written and oral. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Additional Information: Water Boards do not participate in E‑Verify.
