Assembly Supervisor

We are seeking a dedicated Assembly Supervisor to oversee daily operations on our production floor, ensuring schedules are met and quality standards are upheld. This role involves leading a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment focused on both automated and manual processes.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily assembly operations to ensure production schedules are met.
• Prioritize workflow and coordinate jobs to maximize productivity and on-time delivery.
• Monitor productivity, labor utilization, and throughput.
• Ensure proper setup and operation of equipment, both automated and manual.
• Verify that production output meets specifications, drawings, and quality standards.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and implement corrective actions.
• Train, coach, and develop assembly team members on processes, safety, and quality.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback.
• Maintain production documentation and ensure accuracy of production runs.
• Interpret job tickets, blueprints, and manufacturing instructions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as engineering, quality, shipping, and purchasing.
• Enforce safety standards and company policies.
• Drive 5S and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor inventory levels of materials, tooling, and consumables.

Essential Skills

• Experience leading or supervising in a manufacturing/assembly environment.
• Knowledge of production flow, quality standards, and troubleshooting.
• Exposure to Lean/5S and safety compliance such as OSHA standards.
• Experience in ISO 9001 environments.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with employee coaching and team development.
• Experience managing production documentation and reporting.

Work Environment

This position operates within a fast-paced manufacturing/production floor environment, utilizing both automated equipment and manual assembly processes. It requires standing, walking, and active supervision on the production floor, with a high focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement practices.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pittsburg, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $28.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
