Pride Health is hiring for a permanent Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)/ Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) to join its laboratory team in Madelia, MN 56062. This is a direct hire, full-time opportunity to work in a community-focused healthcare environment where laboratory professionals play a vital role in patient care.
Job Summary
Have a strong clinical laboratory experience, including phlebotomy and blood bank experience, and be comfortable working independently in a small hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory testing and analysis in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Collect and process patient specimens, including phlebotomy duties.
- Perform blood bank testing and support transfusion services.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of laboratory results.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
- Adhere to quality control, quality assurance, and regulatory standards.
- Document patient testing and results within the Cerner laboratory information system.
- Participate in rotating holiday, weekend, and on-call schedules.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field.
- Current MLT or MLS Certification through ASCP.
- Current AHA BLS Certification.
- Phlebotomy experience.
- Blood Bank experience.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory operations, quality control, and patient safety practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of clinical laboratory experience.
- Previous Critical Access Hospital experience.
- Experience working independently with minimal supervision.
- Cerner experience preferred.

Pay Range:
- Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) -$25 – $35/hour
- Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) - $30 – $42/hour
