Part-Time Afterschool Elementary Tutor

We are currently seeking elementary tutors for our  GradePower Learning South West Austin  location. This position is perfect for anyone who loves working with primary grades. We seek tutors who are passionate about helping others build their skills in reading, writing, and mathematics.

Tutors at GradePower Learning  do not have to lesson plan, as our directors pre-plan all lessons. Applicants will be fully trained in our proprietary philosophy and methods.

Position Requirements:

You may select your schedule. GradePower Learning has shifts available Monday-Friday from as early as 3:30pm to as late as 7:00pm.  We also offer Saturday mornings from 9:00am-12:30pm.  Our greatest current needs are on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.  Relationship-building with students is important, and our students will love working with you; therefore, reliability is a must.

This role is in-person. You must be able to commute to this location. This is not an online position. Relocation packages are not available.

Background check is mandatory.

We encourage you to apply if you have the following requirements:

Education :

• Bachelor’s degree, or specialization in early childhood education
  
• Teaching certification or a portfolio of classroom or small group experience is preferred

Experience :

• K-5 teaching/tutoring experience preferred
  
• Strong written and oral communication skills
  
• Ability to multitask

Responsibilities (Position Details):

• Teaching up to 3 students at a time on individualized lesson plans
• Following the GradePower Learning methodology
• Maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times

Job Type : Part-time

Salary : $23 - $24 / hour

Potential Schedule:

• Weekday Afternoons/Evenings
