RN - NICU

Registered Nurse (RN) - Level II NICU

We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). This role involves providing high-quality care to infants born at 30 weeks gestation and above, collaborating with pediatricians and telehealth neonatology services for optimal patient outcomes.

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 11 beds across 9 rooms
• Patient Ratios: Up to 1:2/3 based on acuity
• Common Diagnoses: Early gestation infants

Qualifications

• Current BLS and NRP certifications required
• Charge RN experience preferred
• Experience handling newborns during delivery, including attending C-sections
• Ability to manage bubble CPAP, ventilators, and newborn admissions
• Proficient in titrating drips, including fluids, TPN, and blood

Unit Operations

• NNP and Neonatologist available in-house 24/7
• Respiratory Therapy services available on-site
• RN staff are responsible for reading monitor strips

Shifts & Scheduling

• 12-hour night shifts (6:30 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Weekend Requirement: Every third weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Rotating holidays
• Call/Standby: May be required during low patient volumes

Additional Notes

• May need to float to Postpartum if the NICU is closed (rare)
• Scrub Color/Dress Code: Navy scrubs
• Unit-specific orientation and competencies provided
• Charting System: EPIC
