Overview

Full‑time Float Adult Hospitalist in Western CT and Eastern NY (70 miles from New York City). Nuvance Health, now part of Northwell Health, seeks a physician to provide inpatient care across its 7‑hospital system in Connecticut and New York. The position is float‑schedule, with variability between days, nights, weekends and holidays, and is employed by Nuvance Health Medical Practice.

Job Summary

Provide medical care to inpatients, help them recover from acute illnesses and minimize chronic illness effects. The provider will float between New York and Connecticut hospitals, work days, nights and evenings, and may work with medical residents depending on location. The administrative team will assign the schedule based on network need.

Job Requirements

• MD or DO with Connecticut and/or New York State license, Federal DEA and State Controlled Substance registration
• Board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• Completed an Internal Medicine or Family Medicine residency
• Prior experience as a staff physician or hospitalist is preferred; new residents are encouraged to apply
• Willingness to work flexible and variable 12‑hour shifts, about 15 shifts per month
