Position Type: Temporary based on available projects

MTNT Construction, LLC provides construction services to federal government clients, including facility renovations, infrastructure upgrades, and secure site work. Position Summary:

A Construction Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all the activities of a construction site according to project blueprints and schedule plans. This position supports federal construction projects, including work at secured facilities and active government sites. Candidates must be comfortable operating in high-compliance environments with strict safety, quality control, and coordination requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

Duties include, but not limited to:

· Must be willing and able to travel and work on-site for extended periods within the continental United States (CONUS)

· Monitor and coordinate subcontractors and all job site operations and activities

· Supervise and manage all direct hire craftspeople

· Review and provide input on project scope of work and development

· Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards and meet customer expectations

· Develop and maintain short-term (3-week / 6-week) look-ahead schedules aligned with the master schedule

· Identify and mitigate schedule risks proactively

· Develop long-term business relationships with client personnel to promote future contract acquisition

· Coordinate materials and equipment delivery with vendors and suppliers

· Track and review project team hours and expenses

· Maintain compliance with all site contract requirements, noise and dust control, limits affect to Owner activities, and strictly observes systems and utility shutdown procedures

· Enforce site safety in accordance with EM 385-1-1 and OSHA standards

· Conduct daily safety inspections and lead safety meetings/toolbox talks

· Stop work authority when unsafe conditions exist

· Support Quality Control activities, including preparatory meetings, inspections, and documentation, in compliance with contract requirements (e.g., USACE/NAVFAC/DOS standards)

· Ability to support or backfill QC responsibilities on smaller projects is a plus

· Provide crew, conditions and work tasks input to the Quality Control Manager for the daily, weekly and other periodic reporting to further ensure accuracy

· Develop look-ahead reports as needed to inform the customer and crew of upcoming work tasks, particularly when prior approval is needed for the tasks, ie burn permits, shut-down procedures, another safety personnel

· Work closely with the Project Manager to prepare meeting agenda and hold job progress meetings with Owner and subcontractors to ensure and maintain continuous communications and maintain written progress updates with meeting minutes distributed to all parties

· Manage completion punch list and assist with compilation of project closeout requirements

· Ensure that notifications are provided promptly to Client and permits are secured as required per contract

Minimum Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering is preferred

· Minimum 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent on federal and/or complex commercial projects

· 8–10 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent on federal and/or complex commercial projects preferred

· Must possess and demonstrate extensive experience and a working knowledge in a full range of trades and disciplines

· Experience on federal construction projects (USACE, NAVFAC, DOS, or similar) strongly preferred

· Familiarity with submittals, RFIs, QC processes, and compliance requirements on federal contracts

· Computer Skills: Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

· Demonstrate a working knowledge of Critical Path Project scheduling such as Primavera P6 or MS Project

· Familiar with the safety requirements of Code of Federal Regulations 29 CFR 1926 Health & Safety Standards for the Construction Industry

· 30-hour Construction OSHA certification

· Red Cross First Aid and CPR Certifications

· Must have experience in the areas of hazard identification, safety compliance, and sustainability

· Experience with supervising and managing multiple subcontractor and their crews

· Must be able to clear the background check and be approved to work on a military installation

· Hold a valid Real ID (required for federal site access)

· Hold a valid Driver’s License

· EM385-1-1 experience preferred
