Job Description
The Finish Carpenter is responsible for installing, repairing, and finishing woodwork and trim in residential and commercial buildings. This role demands precision, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work with various tools and materials to enhance interior aesthetics.
Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, and fit wood and other materials for trim, molding, and cabinetry installation
- Install baseboards, crown molding, window casings, and door frames accurately
- Fill gaps, sand surfaces, and apply finishes to ensure a high-quality look
- Read and interpret blueprints and sketches for precise workmanship
- Maintain tools and equipment in safe, working condition
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure project completion on time
- Inspect completed work and make adjustments to meet specifications and client expectations
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment
