Qualifications:

• Current license as an Occupational Therapist in Texas
• Prior experience in a K-12 school setting preferred

• Ability to adapt interventions to meet individual student needs

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate students’ functional abilities and develop individualized treatment plans to support their educational participation
• Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services in accordance with students’ IEPs
• Document progress, maintain records, and participate in IEP meetings with multidisciplinary teams
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to recommend classroom modifications and strategies that promote student independence
• Guide and educate families and caregivers on techniques to reinforce skill development at home
• Stay informed of best practices and latest research in pediatric and school-based occupational therapy
