Overview Job Title: Interventional Radiology/Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist We are seeking a skilled and experienced Technologist to join our team. The role involves assisting physicians in diagnostic and interventional procedures within both the Interventional Radiology and Cardiac Catheterization Labs. The ideal candidate will be proficient in circulating, scrubbing, and monitoring patients during complex procedures, working with a diverse patient population including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The daily workflow includes a range of cardiac and interventional radiology procedures, using advanced imaging equipment and technologies. A strong understanding of sterile techniques, hemodynamic monitoring, and the ability to respond effectively to emergency situations is required. Key Responsibilities Assist physicians with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, including LHC, RHC, balloon pumps, temporary pacers, permanent pacer/defibrillator implants, and pericardiocentesis. Assist physicians with diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures, including venous access, drain placement, GI tube insertion, PE, DVTs, TIPS, PV, fistula work, UFEs, prostate embolizations, and management of GI/Post-Partum/other internal bleeds. Circulate and scrub during procedures, maintaining a sterile field. Perform conscious sedation and monitor patients\' vital signs. Prepare and operate equipment such as Acist injectors, Siemens C-arms, Philips C-arms, Medrad power injectors, Rotopro, Diamondback, IVUS, OCT, Shockwave, Rampart, and Pneumbra/Inari devices. Ensure accurate monitoring and documentation of patient data. Assist with equipment setup and troubleshooting. Provide patient education and support. Respond to STEMI calls and other emergency situations. Required Qualifications Minimum of 1 year of experience in Interventional Radiology or Cardiac Cath Lab. ARRT or RCIS certification. BLS certification. ACLS certification. Preferred Qualifications Previous charge experience. Experience with Cerner charting system. Skills & Competencies Proficiency in circulating and scrubbing for interventional procedures. Conscious sedation and patient monitoring. Expertise with the listed devices (e.g., Acist injector, Siemens/Philips C-arms, Medrad power injector, Rotopro, Diamondback, IVUS, OCT, Shockwave, Rampart, Pneumbra/Inari). Knowledge of sterile techniques and infection control protocols. Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and recognize life-threatening arrhythmias. Proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
