Step into a Day on Our First-Shift Weld Team

When you arrive at Progressive Manufacturing in Newport, New Hampshire, you’re stepping into a leading precision sheet metal and modern gas fireplace operation. Your day starts by opening weldment drawings—some straightforward, others complex—and planning out each subassembly. You’ll set up for MIG, TIG, and laser welding across Mild Steel, Stainless, Aluminum, and Aluminized steel, selecting the right tooling and sequence to hit quality and delivery targets.

As beads stack up, you’ll document quality checks, verify measurements, and keep parts moving. Your visual alertness and hand dexterity guide each pass, while your attention to detail ensures consistency across individual components and full weldments. If priorities shift, you pivot smoothly—adapting to new assignments and, when needed, contributing occasional overtime to finish the job.

• Perform MIG, TIG, and laser welding on Mild Steel, Stainless, Aluminum, and Aluminized steel
• Interpret and work from weldment drawings for basic to complex components and subassemblies
• Complete and maintain quality control documentation
• Adapt to shifting priorities and assignments; support occasional overtime as required

• Proven production welding experience
• Strong hand dexterity, visual alertness, and meticulous attention to detail
• Flexibility and a team-first mindset

• Schedule: Full-time, first shift

• Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour
