Clinician, Child and Family

Provide compassionate care where it matters most. Jewish Family & Career Services of Atlanta (JF&CS) is seeking a licensed clinician to provide high‑quality mental health services to children, families, parents/caregivers, and a range of agency clients within the community. This role is ideal for a compassionate, adaptable professional who is passionate about supporting individuals and families through evidence‑based care across a variety of service settings. The clinician will utilize varied treatment modalities and provide services in community locations, including but not limited to the Dunwoody office, while supporting emotional well‑being, skill development, and access to care. The Role at a Glance Reports to designated Clinical Services leadership Provides clinical services to children, families, parents/caregivers, and agency clients Delivers services in community‑based settings, the Dunwoody office, and other approved locations Combines direct clinical care with outreach, documentation, collaboration, and psycho‑educational programming Part‑time role supporting community access to mental health services What You’ll Be Responsible For Conduct clinical assessments through use of clinical interviews and standardized measures Determine appropriate diagnosis and treatment plans based on client needs, culture, home environment, and preferred therapeutic interventions Provide evidence‑based psychotherapy including individual, family, and group therapy services Provide psycho‑educational and skill‑building programming within the community Conduct crisis, suicide, and homicide risk assessments and interventions and assist with crisis intervention and emergency assistance as needed Engage in active outreach with school/college staff, parents/caregivers, and/or community resources Facilitate and assist with referrals to community resources as needed Complete clinical notes and other required documentation in a timely manner, including completion of visit notes within 72 business hours of visit completion Maintain a caseload of approximately 15 clinical sessions/hours per week while working approximately 21 total hours per week Maintain an independent schedule to meet client demand, including late afternoon and evening hours as needed Attend required meetings, including supervision, group consultation, and team meetings Other duties as assigned You May Be a Great Fit If You Are Passionate about supporting children, families, and caregivers through accessible mental health care Comfortable working independently while also collaborating closely with a clinical team Organized, conscientious, and reliable with strong follow‑through Adaptable across office and community‑based service environments Empathetic, clinically grounded, and committed to high‑quality care A self‑starter with strong judgment and the ability to manage a caseload responsibly Requirements Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related behavioral health field Fully Licensed (LPC, LCSW, LMFT) or license eligible in Georgia (APC, LMSW, AMFT) Experience working with children and families, including special needs children, marital conflict, and major mental illness Experience conducting clinical assessments, psychotherapy, and care coordination Willingness to work with managed care referrals Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team Ability to use Microsoft Word and learn electronic medical record systems Strong attention to detail, reliability, and ability to meet deadlines Experience conducting workshops and comfort with public speaking assignments preferred Play therapy experience and/or DBT intensive training preferred Knowledgeable about Judaism and Jewish families preferred Reliable transportation for travel to community‑based service locations What We Offer Up to 20 days of paid time off (PTO) annually, prorated in the first year Paid holidays Comprehensive Health, Vision, and Dental insurance 401(k) with employer matching Paid parental leave Benefits eligibility for part‑time positions may vary based on scheduled hours and agency policy.
