Architectural Project Manager / Contract Administrator – Honolulu, HI

A Honolulu-based architecture and design firm is seeking an Architectural Project Manager / Contract Administrator to support the delivery of design and construction administration services for commercial, institutional, and federal projects. This role is ideal for someone with a background in architecture who enjoys both the technical design side and the contract/project administration side of the work.

The selected candidate will help oversee project documentation, consultant coordination, contract administration, schedules, deliverables, RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, and communication between clients, consultants, contractors, and internal design teams. Federal project experience is highly preferred, especially experience supporting projects with detailed compliance, documentation, and coordination requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage architectural project coordination from design through construction administration
• Support contract administration, project controls, schedules, deliverables, and documentation
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal design teams
• Review and track RFIs, submittals, change documentation, meeting minutes, and project correspondence
• Assist with design oversight, quality control, and drawing/specification coordination
• Support federal, commercial, and institutional project requirements
• Maintain organized project files, logs, reports, and communication records
• Help ensure projects stay aligned with scope, schedule, budget, and contract requirements

Qualifications

• Degree in Architecture required
• Experience in architectural project management, contract administration, or project coordination
• Federal project experience strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of design documentation, construction administration, and consultant coordination
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, contracts, and project requirements
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and common project/document management tools
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple deadlines
• Professional, collaborative, and client-service focused
