Manufacturing Engineer Co-Op

Salary: $90,000 - 130,000 per year Requirements:

• We require at least 2 years of engineering coursework with a focus on Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• We look for intermediate computer proficiency, including Windows, email, and internet use.
• We expect intermediate skill in Microsoft Word.
• We expect intermediate skill in Microsoft Excel.
• We require basic proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
• We require basic proficiency in Microsoft Outlook.
• Basic 2D CAD or 3D CAD experience is preferred.
• We look for intermediate math ability.
• We need strong communication skills, including written, verbal, and group interaction skills.
• An acceptable combination of education and experience may be considered.
• This role requires the ability to walk, sit, or stand for significant periods.
• We require the ability to lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist, carry 50 pounds, and push or pull up to 20 pounds.
• We require the ability to climb ladders and stairs.
• We require stooping, crouching, kneeling, and bending as needed.
• We require handling, feeling, and gripping for certain activities.
• We require visual acuity to inspect completed work.
• This position may be subject to internal and external environmental conditions.
• We need the ability to learn new tasks, retain processes, stay focused, work independently, make timely decisions, communicate with visitors, and complete tasks within productivity expectations.

• We participate in safety, quality, cost, and delivery improvement initiatives, including defining projects, selecting solutions, implementing changes, and reporting results.
• We provide recommendations, compile data, and estimate costs and outcomes for improvement efforts.
• We take part in LEAN activities such as Kaizens, Value Stream Mapping, 5S, and VAVE, including gathering information, completing action items, and following up.
• We may design production fixtures, devices, and tools.
• We document, create, evaluate, and maintain standard work instructions for production and administrative processes.
• We complete time-and-motion studies.
• We may review and process Engineer Change Orders on the manufacturing side, including design, drawing, and specification reviews, as well as FMEA, PPAP, and ISIR activities.
• We help ensure internal and customer documentation requirements are met.
• We may assist in establishing quality specifications and standards.
• We participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective actions in response to nonconformance reports.
• We work on the production shop floor to learn processes and develop improvement recommendations.
• We maintain a positive work environment through collaborative communication with customers, suppliers, co-workers, and management.
• We help our company meet strategic, quality, and safety objectives.
• We perform other duties as assigned.

We are offering co-op positions for Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 in a Manufacturing Engineer role. In this position, we focus on creating, revising, and maintaining manufacturing processes while working directly with production on the shop floor to resolve issues across production shop and production control/order processes.
