Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (9:00–21:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a combined Adult/Pediatric General Emergency Department, including triage and management of typical ED diagnoses; occasional OB patients may require management of mother/baby until transfer
• Monitor and manage cardiac dysrhythmias and respond to emergency situations, including patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
• Perform IV therapy and phlebotomy, including central line care and management; administer continuous IV sedation and IV vasopressors as indicated
• Manage respiratory support including CPAP/BiPAP and ventilated patients; maintain isolation precautions per protocol
• Fulfill Charge RN assignments and holiday shifts as needed per unit; expected weekend commitment of 8 shifts per 6-week schedule period (combination of Friday/Saturday/Sunday)
• Float as needed between the ED Hold area, other departments, units, and facilities within scope of practice

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license — both Kansas and Missouri licensure (or compact license covering both states) required at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room experience
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC
• No pending licenses accepted; active licensure required
• Must live at least 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Requested time off must be finalized at time of submission; no additional RTO or schedule requests will be accepted post-offer or onsite (maximum 7 days RTO)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CPI and MAB certifications preferred
• Experience in a STEMI-certified or Stroke-certified facility
• Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and arterial blood gases (ABGs)
• Arterial line management experience
