Bench Scientist I

Job Title : Bench Scientist I Location : Cambridge, MA Type: Contract Compensation : $31-$36.55 Work Model : Onsite – onsite Hours : 40.0 Overview Leading pharmaceutical company looking for an entry level Bench Scientist I. Ideal candidates should have a bachelors degree with experience handling proteins, biological samples, cell cultures, or related laboratory materials. Responsibilities Perform routine laboratory activities in support of molecular profiling and bioconjugation projects. Handle, prepare, and work with proteins, biological samples, and cell culture materials. Prepare solutions, buffers, and reagents following established protocols. Execute experimental procedures with accuracy and attention to detail, including pipetting and sample preparation. Support bioconjugation workflows under the guidance of senior scientists. Receive, organize, track, and maintain laboratory materials, compounds, and inventory. Assist with sample allocation, shipping, and general laboratory logistics. Maintain accurate experimental records using electronic laboratory notebooks (ELNs). Analyze, summarize, and communicate experimental data through reports and presentations. Follow laboratory safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional team members to support project goals. Requirements Bachelor's or Master's degree in: Biochemistry Biology Biotechnology Molecular Biology Chemical Biology Biomedical Sciences Or a related scientific discipline Hands-on laboratory experience gained through academic research, internships, industry, or other research environments. Experience handling proteins, biological samples, cell cultures, or related laboratory materials. Knowledge of fundamental laboratory techniques and scientific principles. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to learn new techniques quickly and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
