Emergency Room Registered Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position.

Shift: Mids, 9am-9pm; floating required.

The Registered Nurse will hold shift accountability for providing care to Emergency Room patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policy and procedures. The registered nurse will demonstrate critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in anticipation and planning for safe delivery of care in the Emergency Department.

Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough assessments and communicate findings effectively.
• Administer medications and monitor side effects.
• Demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail in documenting patient care.
• Maintain knowledge of safety standards, infection control, and quality improvement initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• 2+ years of experience as an Emergency Room RN required.
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, ENPC, and TNCC certifications required.
• NRP certification preferred.
• Fingerprinting for all NM travelers is required.
