Moonrise is a colearning space where kids are free to learn and create with their friends.
We're seeking a Learning Guide for a part-time role at Moonrise. Learning Guides are like personal trainers for the mind. They get to know our risers (kids 5+ years old), guide their learning, and help them work through projects and challenges. The most important role of a guide is to engage with our risers and get to know them as unique individuals. We're looking for guides who:- Gain energy working with kids.
- Are warm, positive, energetic, and friendly.
- Want to lead a variety of learning experiences.
- Thrive in open-ended environments.
- Motivate and inspire without force.
- Are professional, responsible, and timely.
- Prefer hands-on learning to tests and lectures.
- Have experience communicating with parents.
- Want to contribute to a greater purpose and mission.
- Take kids seriously.
About the job:
- Flexible hours and schedule.
- Minimum 10 hours per week.
- Pay is $20/hr.
- Must have prior experience working with kids.
- Background check required.
