We are currently seeking a Contract Civil Litigation Attorney who is federally licensed to join our expanding team.

Position Overview

This is a contract-based role for an experienced civil litigation attorney who is confident managing complex matters, appearing in both state and federal court, and maintaining a consistent caseload in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

The incumbent attorney is expected to...

• Mana ge a caseload of civil litigation matters from inception through resolution
• Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, and federal court filings
• Conduct legal research and develop strategic case approaches
• Represent clients in state and federal court hearings, mediations, and trials
• Handle all phases of discovery, including depositions, interrogatories, and document production
• Ensure compliance with federal and state procedural rules and court deadlines
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
• Provide case evaluations and legal recommendations
• Collaborate with internal team members, including case managers and support staff
• Maintain accurate and timely billing records to meet required billable hours

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of legal practice
• Active federal licensure (Southern District required)
• Demonstrated experience in civil litigation (required)
• Experience in business law and real estate litigation (required)
• Trial experience (required)
• Ability to meet a minimum of 60 billable hours bi-weekly (120+ hours per month)
• Strong ability to independently manage cases and deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience handling federal litigation matters
• Background in estate planning and/or tax law (a plus)
• Strong written and oral advocacy skills

Work Structure

• Contract position
• Minimum 120+ hours per month required
• Although this position is remote, the Attorney must be available for court appearances as needed
